In these video sections are several practice questions to familiarize you with what you will see on the test. To move to the next section you must watch the video in each section. After completing all 10 sections, you can move to any section in any order you require and return to programs as often as needed in preparation for the test. So you can review the material at your leisure.
Between now and the test date, please spend time going over these video sections and the study material. Do not expect to walk in and pass the test. The odds are against it. We put together this information so you can prepare for the material involved with the actual test.
Our pass rate with participants who take this seriously is very high. If you study, the odds are that you will get your EPA Section 608 Certification . If you don’t study, well…, so invest your time.
When taking the EPA section 608 certification for refrigerant handling (EPA), it is important to understand and memorize numerous key areas upon which several questions in the test are based.
You may never need to use all this information again, but to pass the test, this is necessary. So, as you read the information in this study guide, remember to commit to memory the items listed in several parts of this curriculum.
We are dealing with vastly different content between the old test and the 2019 version. There are several charts and associated information dealing with the HVAC industry that must be committed to memory, as this is a closed book test.
Speaking of venting refrigerants, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) posted an Interim Final Rule to raise civil penalties for violations of environmental law and EPA regulations. Penalties are being raised to match inflation as mandated under the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990. The current rate is $44.539.00 per day, per violation. That could change very shortly to a higher fee. Needless to say, these amounts of fines, if levied, could cause a company to fail.
